Images are processed in the browser and never leave it. - Do the pixel work with WebGL shaders rather than canvas filters, so full-resolution photos stay responsive: brightness, contrast, saturation, temperature, highlights, shadows, sharpen, and vignette. - Skin smoothing as a proper edge-preserving blur, a bilateral or guided filter, blended by strength, so it softens skin without destroying eyes and hair. - Face landmarks with MediaPipe FaceMesh running locally in the browser, and a liquify-style warp constrained to the landmark regions for reshaping. - A non-destructive edit stack: every adjustment is a layer with a value, reorderable, and saved as JSON next to the original. - Named presets, and a batch mode that applies a preset to a folder of photos from the command line with sharp. - Export at full resolution with the original EXIF, and an option to strip location data. - Runs on localhost only. No accounts, no telemetry, no uploads. - Skip: a mobile app, cloud sync, and background replacement. - Include a README with setup and how the batch mode works. ## Look and feel Facetune's own — light and photo-first, the image almost full screen, a bright cyan-teal accent, tools as a neat icon row along the bottom. Generous spacing, clear hierarchy, big tap targets, phone-readable type, system font. Keep the text dark enough to read at a glance: the softness of a palette belongs to the shapes and the fills, never to the words. Nothing I need to read — dates, numbers, labels — in pale grey on white.
